Everest Base Camp Trek with Helicopter Return |12 Days Plan
I’m writing this while my legs are still sore, so maybe I’m not thinking completely straight 😂. The trek was harder than I expected, especially around Dingboche and Lobuche. There were moments when I was just staring at the next uphill section thinking why did I sign up for this. But then Sali would crack some joke, the mountains would open up and I’d forget about being tired for a while.Getting to Everest Base Camp felt different from what I imagined. It wasn’t dramatic, I was exhausted and cold, but standing there and seeing the Everest Base camp stone and everything around made the trek worth it. The helicopter back was honestly such a good decision. i thank sali for letting me know before that i can return by heli too. After walking all the way up, the idea of doing the same trail back didn’t sound very exciting. Seeing the Khumbu from above was almost like getting another trek for free. Very happy I did this trip. Thank you Mountain world treks and the team. Cant wait for the next trek
