Embarked on a 17 day EBC, gokyo lake trek with 4 friends. Wonderful and fascinating trip with great support from our guide (Niraj) and boss Sali working behind the scenes in many aspects.

Unexpectedly we were hit with heavy snowfall, trek closure at chola pass to gokyo, and a 4 day airport closure. So contingencies were at hand, and this where we felt the benefits of the agents coordination, execution and bringing us down safely and expediously.

In a harsh environment, at least for me, the guides attention to details to ensure comfort and safety is critical. From their actions and constant communication, you trust and understand what they are doing and so you just focus on trekking, soaking up the views and enjoy the journey.

I arranged a private group tour only 6 weeks out (My son and I) in November 2024 , with and customised itinerary via Sali trekking after seeing his videos on Youtube.

We achieved EBC, Renjo La Pass and Gokyo over 16 days.

Everything was well organised and we appreciated the custom and flexible itinerary arranged with Sali, prior to arrival.

Our guide (Suresh) took great care of us during the trek and was very attentive to our needs. He really looked out for our needs and wellbeing – and did an excellent job in navigating the flight delays to/from Lukla that are common with the weather, managing to get us on a helicopter when the flights were grounded due to clouds.

A great experience and would love to do another trek in the near future!

I recently had the opportunity to climb Island Peak with Sali Trekking, and I’m incredibly grateful for the experience, even though we couldn’t make it to the summit due to bad weather.

First and foremost, the organization was top-notch. The entire trip was well planned, and everything from the logistics to the accommodations was handled efficiently. The team was professional, supportive, and highly skilled, especially our guides. They were always available to offer guidance and assistance, ensuring our safety and well-being throughout the climb.

Unfortunately, strong winds prevented us from reaching the summit. The weather conditions were simply too harsh to continue safely. While it was disappointing, the team’s commitment to safety was clear, and I felt confident that we made the right decision.

I look forward to coming back and trying again next time, and I’m grateful to the entire Sali Trekking team for their hard work and dedication. Thanks for everything!

I just want to express my appreciation for your leadership during the October 2025 hike. When the heavy snowfall hit and temperatures dropped to around –20°C, the situation became quite serious and some people were trapped on the mountain.

Your quick thinking and fast evacuation efforts made a huge difference. The way you coordinated and helped people get to safety showed real experience and responsibility in such extreme conditions.

Despite all the challenges, we still managed to successfully complete our Everest Base Camp hike. The extreme temperatures, difficult conditions, and unexpected situation made it even more demanding, but with good coordination and last-minute support from experienced operators, everything came together.

It was truly impressive to see how the situation was handled, and I’m very grateful for the leadership and support that helped keep everyone safe and made the expedition possible.
